The people of Tsakuwa in Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area wish to report the tension that has continued to accumulate since the award of contract by the Honourable Member, Mustapha Bala Dawaki, for the construction of four township roads in the ancient town. Out of the four roads, so far, only two were started and even these have not been completed as the contractors have since demobilised from site.
More painfully, the uncompleted roads are causing great hardship to the people, especially when it rains.
The abandoned roads are part of the constituency projects for Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency. More painful and sad, whereas projects in other areas like Dawaki town were completed in good time; those in Tsakuwa town – the biggest and most populous town in Dawakin Kudu LGA have become an eyesore.
We are, therefore sending a save-our-soul plea to the EFCC to come to our aid over the uncompleted road project.
We are requesting the EFCC to constitute a committee to find out why the project is yet to be completed.
