Ogun, who is the current President of PENGASSAN and arrowhead of Harmony Team for the election slated for Thursday in Abuja, said he would do this by engaging government on how to improve the economy through micro and macroeconomic policies.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Ogun also said he will encourage internship scheme to tackle mass unemployment in a bid to provide a window for building skills and enhancing their employability.
He said his team will focus and re-strategize TUC women commission for basic programmes on women, family, youth and child-mother issues impacting on workplace and sustainable development.
According to him, “We in the Harmony Group in conjunction with other like minds who are experienced and have been involved in trade union activities in this country and with global bearing can consolidate on our various achievements and exploits.
“We can together sustain the tempo and the struggle for emancipation of senior staff, all Nigerian workers and the Nigerian nation as a whole. We can replicate what we have achieved at our individual union levels and take TUC to higher ground.”
