The Kaduna State government in collaboration with the World Bank and Society for Family Health has provided relief materials for 100 households in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State.

Tudun Biri, Ugara and Sabon Gida communities in the state were bombed by a military while chasing bandits on December 3, 2023, which resulted in dozens of casualties and injuries to residents after they converged at Tudun Biri to celebrate Maulud.

The beneficiaries were supported with bags of rice, beans, maize, millet, salt, palm oil, improved potato seedlings, herbicides, pesticides, male and female goats, among others.

The support, Daily Trust reports, is being implemented by the Kaduna State government, and Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) in collaboration with the World Bank and Society for Family Health.

Speaking to newsmen at the distribution in Tudun Biri community yesterday, Dr Zainab Kwaru, the project coordinator of ANRiN, said the exercise was an emergency response to bring succour to the Tudun Biri community over the unfortunate incident.
