Speaking during a press parley yesterday at the Abuja Sheraton Hotel, the coach said his players have been licensed to attack the Super defence for an away victory that would ensure they qualify for the 2010 mundial.

He explained that the temptation to defend so as to get the vital away point will be there but he will not encourage his wards to emulate their opponents who refused to open the game in their first leg encounter in Tunis.

The Portuguese football tactician said in football, it is expected that when the side that is in possession of the ball attacks, the side without the ball must defend in order not to concede any goal.

Thus, he disclosed that his players will attack Nigeria’s Eagles whenever they have the ball but when they are disposed, they will naturally defend so as not to concede any goal.

“We are not in Nigeria to defend. In football, the team that has the ball attacks while the side without the ball defends. Therefore, when we have the ball, we will attack and when we are without the ball, we will defend. If we are able to beat Nigeria, we will be very happy” he explained.

Coelho however said that tomorrow’s match is a big one and any side will win.

“It is not going to be easy but its okay. It is a very big game. Two big teams with very big players. We are going to concentrate on this game” .

At the risk of undermining his other opponents in the group, the coach said the race for the sole ticket in the group is a straight fight between Nigeria and Tunisia.

He said “I respect Kenya but I think the first place will be decided between Tunisia and Nigeria.

When reminded that Tunisia has never made it past the first round at any World Cup, Coelho said the most important is for him to concentrate on tomorrow’s important match.

“I am concentrating on this game. This game is important for us. May be it is more important for Tunisia because we are two points ahead of Nigeria”

The coach said if he loses tomorrow, he will take the defeat in the spirit of sportsmanship but expressed the desire to win so as to qualify Tunisia for South Africa 2010.
