Tunisian midfielder Aïssa Bilal Laïdouni, has sent a strong message to the Super Eagles ahead of today’s Round of 16 clash as he said even as they ‘ve reached the knockout stage as best losers, they shouldn’t be taken for granted.
“The lesson learnt from the Gambian game is to focus and score more goals. We have already put that behind us and are focused on tomorrow’s (today) game.

“Qualifying as best losers doesn’t reduce our credibility. All the players available will come up to task. We are not pushovers. Tomorrow (today) will be the day of truth,” he said.
In the same vein, the assistant coach, Jalal Al-Qadri, bemoaned the COVID-19 problem that has hit his team’s camp.
It was gathered that 12 of Tunisian players have contracted the virus thus ruling them out of today’s game.
“We are confident and hope things go our way. We will find solutions to the COVID-19 problems. We won’t reveal our strategy. We hope luck will be on our side.
“Nigeria is a formidable side, Tunisia is a historic team in terms of African Football. Despite the obstacles, we have a positive mindset. The Nigerian team must understand that they are meeting a competitive and battle-ready Tunisian side. Football is unpredictable,” he said.
