Users of the microblogging site, Twitter, have taken to their various handles to celebrate International Men’s Day which aims at celebrating men in the world. As part of the discussion, some Twitter users while commending men for all they do in the world also highlighted some challenges the menfolk face.
For instance, in a tweet by Aly Goni, an Indian actor and model, via his verified account, he noted that while men may think crying makes them look weak, ‘there is nothing stronger than a man who isn’t afraid of his own tears.’
He wrote, “I know that u r a man, and I know u think that crying makes u look weak but I assure u that there is nothing stronger than a man who isn’t afraid of his own tears, and even stronger is the man who isn’t afraid for others to see them streaming down his face. #InternationalMensDay.”(sic)

The Humanist UK via their verified Twitter account, @Humanists_UK, stated that the biggest cause of death for men under 50 is suicide. They further advised that men should learn to speak about their mental health.

“This #InternationalMensDay we remember that in the UK, the biggest cause of death for men under 50 is suicide. We all have mental health, we should all be able to talk about it. Help fight the stigma, help your loved ones. Talk about mental health,” the tweet read.

Moreso, a tweep with the handle @Urrmi_ simply acknowledged the good thing men do for women as she tweeted, “What would we women even do without all the amazing, dignified, good men around!? Thank you to all the gentlemen for existing! It’s your day today and everyday.”
