Two abducted Suleja residents regain freedom

Two persons abducted from Suleja town, in Niger State penultimate week, have regained freedom after eight days in captivity.

Dikko Abdulkarim and Adamu Jaafaru, all residents of Unguwar Juma in the town have already been reunited with their families on Saturday.

Daily Trust gathered that the duo have spent two days in the Suleja General Hospital where they received medical attention.

A family source told our reporter yesterday that the kidnappers released them after collecting N1 million each from the victims’ families.

He said they also paid an additional N50,000 worth of mobile phone recharge cards.

A check by Daily Trust discovered that the daughter and younger brother of one of the abductees that sustained gunshot wounds are still in hospital.

The released abductees claimed that they were held in the bush close to Tungan-Maje town, Abuja, where they witnessed the landing and taking off of planes from Abuja airport at close range.
