Two friends have been arraigned before a Senior Magistrate court sitting at Gyadi-Gyadi for allegedly stealing a motorcycle belonging to their friend.
Sadiq Mohammed and Hamza Danchaka were charged for two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and theft contrary to sections 96 and 286 of the Penal Code Law.
According to Police First Information Report, the complainant Muhammad Kabir Mustapha of Dangwauro village, Kumbotso local government area of Kano state reported the matter to the police that he had visited his friend Sadiq Muhammad at Kundila Housing Estate with his motorcycle with registration no UJ147MSR valued at N58,000, but the same Mohammed conspired with one Hamza Danchaka and stole the motorcycle.
“During the cause of investigation, police had discovered that you Sadiq Mohammed and Hamza Danchaka gave the said motorcycle to one Auwal Ahmad K/Nassarawa and Adam Dan Kawu who went to Danbare village along Gwarzo road and disposed the motorcycle to one Mansur Mohammed. All effort to trace the motorcycle proved abortive” The FIR stated.
The accused persons pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against them when the charge sheet was read to them at the court.
Senior Magistrate Abdu Maiwada Abubakar granted the accused bail on the sum of N100, 000 with two reliable sureties in a like some and adjourned the case to 19th March, 2017.
