Two FCT students get S/Korea university scholarship

The students were jointly sponsored on the programme by the FCT Secondary Education Board and Republic of South Korea.
The students are Halima Alhassan Isah and Agnes Omatei Otene from Govt Girls Secondary School, Abaji, and the School for the Gifted, Gwagwalada, respectively.
They are to study Chemical Engineering and Economics at the Seoul National University and Yeungnam University, respectively.
In a ceremony before their departure, the representative of the Secondary Education Board and Deputy Director, Co-Curricula, Hajiya Binta Nasir, said both students have excelled and done the board and Nigeria proud.
She said the scholarship scheme was a collaboration initiative between the Korean Cultural Centre and the FCT Secondary Education Board which started since 2011 on issues of culture, arts and education.
Principals of both schools advised the two students to be good ambassadors of FCT and Nigeria.
