They were arrested following a report lodged at Sango police station by the victim who reported that the two suspects who are living in the same compound with her dragged her into a room belonging to one of them.
She said the duo stripped her naked, made video recording of her nude and later took turns “to rape her serially.”
The police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Sunday, in a statement, said following the report, the DPO Sango division, CSP Godwin Idehai, detailed detectives to go after the suspects.
“The investigative effort of the detectives paid off on the 16th of December 2020 when the duo were eventually arrested.
“On interrogation, the two suspects confessed committing the crime.
“They confessed videoing her nude and threatened her not to report or else the video will be posted on social media,” Oyeyemi said.
He quoted the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, to have ordered the transfer of the suspects to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
