The MoU signing was one of the activities at the collaborative workshop entitled ‘Leadership for Higher Education – A Vision from Islamic Perspective’ held at USIM, Nilai, Malaysia.
Unilorin, AUK and USIM were represented at the ceremony by their vice-chancellors, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, Prof. Shehu Ado and Prof. Datuk Dr. Musa Ahmad, respectively.
Prof Musa Ahmad said the MoU covers the exchange of students and academic staff among the universities as well as research and development projects on leadership and management issues in Islam.
Nigerian delegates presented papers on “Issues and Challenges in Nigerian Higher Education” while other presentations were made by their Malaysian counterparts.
The MoU signing was witnessed by Malaysia’s Director-General, Ministry for Higher Education Department, Datuk Prof Asma Ismail.
The programme was organised by the Islamic Leadership Chair under USIM Leadership and Management Faculty with the cooperation of USIM Alamiyyah (International Centre).
