Two Nigerians, Maryam Boyi and Tega Ogbenechovwen have made the cut to be part of PenPen Africa’s Writers’ Residency. They will be representing YELF Foundation and Custodians of African Literature (COAL NG), respectively.

Others include Modou Lamin Sowe (ML) from the Gambia, who will be representing the Writers Association of the Gambia (WAG), Sakina Traoré from Cote D’ Ivoire, representing Self-ish, Ngang God’swill from Cameroon also representing Self-ish, and Edem Azah from Ghana representing Writers Space Africa, Ghana (WSA-G).

The PenPen Africa Writers’ Residency, an initiative of the African Writers Development Trust (AWDT), is targeted at improving cultural relations and integration among Africans through literature. It is also in partnership with the Writers Guild Kenya, funded by Culture at Work Africa and co-funded by the European Union.
