U.A.E university guides Kano students on career choice

Skyline University College (SUC), United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lectured Nigerian students from Kano state on how to make informed career choices, which it described as the first step to successful educational quest.

This was disclosed by the SUC Assistant Director Mr. Rakesh Gaur during the college’s career workshop organized for Nigerian students in Kano city.

According to him, it is very important that students are guided in making the right choice as it is not a decision that affects part of their lives but a decision that lives with them for the rest of their lives.

“We found that students are quite confused and ended up pursuing a career which is not their passion and this surely calls for guidance on how to make a right choice as it affects their life,” said Mr. Gaur.

He said the university, established since 1990, has been in Nigeria for about four years and has admitted over 400 Nigerian students who are studying different disciplines.

Gaur added that the university college’s managem ent was seeking partnerships with some Nigerian universities to enable their students to learn in both the SUC and the selected varsities.
