Nigeria’s unbeaten middleweight fighter, Yahaya Yahuza has thrown his hat into the ring against Algeria’s Farouk Madani at the 12th African Knockout Championship.

The championship billed to hold today in Lagos is to feature 9 bouts across various divisions, including featherweight, middleweight, lightweight, and women’s bantamweight.

The fight in the featherweight will see Senegal’s Gasire Ditta defends his interim title against Algeria’s Farouk Boudissa.

Among the electrifying matchups, fans will get to watch as Cameroon’s Marie Mengue will slug it out against Nigeria’s Ufot Nelson in the women’s flyweight.

Other include Moroco’s Oussama Idrissi to battle Nigeria’s Pelejah Osoba in Lightweight division while Ivorian Prince Mensan faces Angola’s Celio Diogo in Bantamweight

Former UFC champion Kamoru Usman who was present at the face-off promises an exciting bout among the fighters lined up for AKO 12.

He said he is looking forward to an unforgettable show as the African Knockout Championship is set to light up Lagos.

Launched in 2020 as a mixed martial arts talent reality TV show, AKO concentrates on African talents, and the AKO Championship was initiated in 2023 as the first pan-African professional boxing and MMA championship.
