Nollywood actress, producer and director, Ufuoma Ejenenobor-Mcdermott is one of the expected speakers today at the maiden edition of the globally curated talks, TEDx to hold in Plateau State.

The event themed ‘Shifting Paradigms,’ will take place at the Jos Business School, Rayfield, Jos and will be accompanied by the hashtag #Josshift.

According to the conveners in a release, the event, is a movement pushing an aligning narrative that calls for a forward mental, physical, economic and social shift in the state, and in turn, the country at large.  “Our most important objective is to further the cause of Peace Building as a Panacea for Economic Development in Plateau State and Nigeria in general,” it read.

In view of this objective, Phillip Shuaibu, an Accountant, activist, Deputy Governor of Edo State, and former NANS President will be speaking on the topic ‘Not Too Young To Run – Why we need more young people in politics.’ 

Imam Muhammed Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye are a team with a profound story of reconciliation and peace building. Ezekiel Gomos OFR, Director General of the Jos Business School and Troy Zenret Pyelshak, former NFL Pro athlete and super Bowl champion turned Investment Guru, are also expected to speak at the event. 

Others are veteran journalist and Press Director of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum, AbdulRazaq Bello Barkindo.  Fauno B Nadah, systems engineer and Social Entrepreneur, will be bringing his in depth knowledge of business and technology and passion for transformational change to the talk, with the witty topic ‘How to Tame Neat Ninjas in Wicked Mermaids.’

Director Middle East & Africa For HIS Makrit – Dr Chinnan Mclean Dikwal and Solomon Chikan, a global motivational speaker and driving force for entrepreneurship in Nigeria, will also speak at the event.
