The branch chairman, Alhaji Isma’ila Alasa, who disclosed this at the association’s end of year dinner, said the concept will educate our younger generation and equip them with skills as well.
Alasa said the project will cost the association N4m.
He added that the association is planning to acquire land for agricultural and other commercial purposes, saying “the union will also purchase a N2m bus for commercial usage and conveyance of its members to official engagements.”
The association honoured five alumni of the University of Ibadan with Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Those honoured include Ekpo Nta, Chairman Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), Dr, Henry Akpan, Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Youth Development and Professor Julius Okogie, Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, among others.
