His reappointment came into effect on February 14 in a letter from the health ministry.
Minister of Health Onyebuchi Chukwu told Ujah to regard his re-appointment as opportunity to improve on performance from his first tenure, which expires April 14.
Ujah, 60, is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecological surgeon who got his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in 1978.
He said NIMR would consolidate previous plan under him to become a true centre of excellence in health research.
