UMYUK elects alumni executives

The institution was established in 2006 and had its first convocation in 2013 though it started graduating students since 2009.
The swearing-in of the alumni executives was conducted by the university’s legal adviser at the theatre of the faculty of humanities. The event was graced by staff, students and graduates of the university.
In his inaugural lecture, the guest speaker, Dr. Aliyu Muhammad Muri, who delivered a paper titled: “The Role of Imperialism in the Destabilisation of Nigeria,” accused Western countries of fuelling the insurgency in Nigeria.
He specifically called on Nigeria to review its diplomatic relation with France.
The newly elected President, Abdullahi Bala Hussaini, promised to run an inclusive association in which all stakeholders will be carried along.
He expressed his readiness to cooperate with the university in order to realise the goals of the institution.
Bishir Dauda Sabuwar Unguwa Katsina is a postgraduate student of Curriculum and Instruction at UMYU
