He disclosed this weekend when he conducted a monitoring mission to the farm.
He said they provided $42,000 through Rhema  Care (an NGO) which is about N7Million to acquire and cultivate the farm but that  distance was a major factor discouraging them from accessing it from their camps..
“Through the supports of Cross River State government and host communities, we got the land for them. But it is too far from where they stay at St mark primary school Ikot Eyo Edem.   It takes them three and a half hours every day to go and come from their camps.  Distance and transportation, insufficient resources and agricultural inputs are really what are counting against them, according to our findings”, Mensha said.
According to him, fertilizer, seedlings, water and shelter on the farm are others.
He said that if more access roads are constructed the difficulty will lessen for the returnees.
