The United Nations (UN) Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, has said that the UN through its agencies will continue to carry out development projects in Plateau State in key areas that will impact on the lives of the people, particularly at the grassroots.
Kallon said this when he visited Plateau State to meet with Governor Simon Lalong on enhancing collaboration in areas of development and growth of the state.

He pointed out that he will engage with key government officials in the state to get a picture of the development challenges and where the UN can step in, adding that his visit will also enable him examine the progress of current UN programmes and how they can be made to succeed.
Responding, Governor Lalong expressed appreciation for the interventions of the UN in the state, saying it has been impacting the lives of the poor and vulnerable.
