Among the traditions ascribed to the Prophet concerning fasting considered to be weak by some scholars are: –
i) The tradition in which the Prophet (PBUH) is said to have stated “fast for it will increase your health”.
ii) Another one is the tradition in which the Prophet (PBUH) is said to have stated that “fasting of Ramadhan observed by a person will be hang between the heaven and earth until the person gives “Zakatul fitr” i.e. the food given to charity at the end of Ramadhan.
However, some scholars consider these traditions to be among the ones that are meant for encouraging people to fast and never to relent in observing it.
