A student of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology in Yola, Adamawa State, Abdul Majid Iliyasu Gita, on Monday won a brand new Hyundai car at the grand finale of the 9mobile northern promo.

Receiving the prize at the 9mobile Experience Centre at the Ado Bayero Shopping Mall, Kano, Gita, who hails from Bauchi State, said that 9mobile had changed his life.

Gita said, “It is a precious feeling for me to be so honoured by 9mobile. Words alone won’t express how I am feeling right now. 9mobile has succeeded in changing my life with a brand new Hyundai and I will always be grateful to them.”

Presenting the prize to the star winner, the head of Regional Sales, 9mobile, Babangida Mukkadas, said the telecommunication company introduced the promo to reward its loyal customers. He said the raffle draw was done electronically to ensure objectivity, thereby giving room for healthy competition among 9mobile customers.

Other winners in the Kano draw include Abdulrazak Abdullahi Umar, who went home with a N1million prize, Adamu Abdullahi from Kurna and Hassan Abbas Sanusi from Dambatta Local Government area of Kano State, who went home with smart phones each.

The telecom company also rewarded its customers in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina, Yobe and Taraba. Prizes such as airtime, smartphones, cash prizes and the brand new car were won while the promo lasted. The company is running another promo in other states, tagged the Magic Hour Promo, and several prizes are still up for grabs for 9mobile subscribers.
