The Newgate College of Health Technology Minna has granted scholarships to 40 less privileged students across the state, the institution’s managing partner and chief executive officer, Hassan Nuhu, has disclosed.

In an interview with journalists, Nuhu said the students were offered scholarships for various programmes such as community health extension, environmental health, health information management, nutrition and dietetics, health education and promotion and computer science and data management.

He said offering scholarships to underprivileged students was part of the college’s corporate social responsibility to host communities.

He said the college collaborated with emirate councils to select brilliant students for scholarships.
