The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s Spotlight Initiative, has trained about 80 women and girls who were victims of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in various skills.
The beneficiaries were provided with certificates and starter packs to start their businesses in fashion design, make-up, catering and hairdressing at the graduation held in Abuja over the weekend.
In her remarks, the UNDP Spotlight Initiative Programme Director, Mrs Ogundano Ogundike, said the initiative is to help women and girls who were victims of gender-based violence to be economically independent and free.
