Uneasy calm has prevailed at the University of Benin following the postponement of Students Union Government (SUG) election by the management. The election was said to have been deferred due to security concerns.
A female student, Lauretta Obakpolor, said there was no basis for election delay, adding that many students were uncomfortable with the decision.
Another student, Onaiwu Phillip, said “the SUG election needs to come and go so that we can move on with our lives as students.”
