The University of Abuja will introduce new courses, including Mass Communication, Biochemistry, and Archaeology.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Michael Adikwu, during a press conference on Monday, said, “We are thinking of courses like Nursing, Mass Communication, Biochemistry, Archaeology and others. We want to expand.”
He said over 15, 000 candidates applied for admission last year, with only 5,000 spaces available.
He said the university was facing challenges on its manpower requirement.
On the challenge of funding, he said, aside building structures, salary was the most important issue to address.
