The Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) has donated laboratory equipment to the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Benin (Uniben).
President of the association, Benjamin Idiakhoa, said the equipment were donated to promote effective teaching and learning and lessen the challenges faced by pharmacy students while using laboratories.
The equipment include 2 binocular microscopes, 2 monocular microscope, 3 cartons of porcelain dishes and 4 cartons of conical flasks as well as 8 weighing balances and 100 dispensing bottles.
Receiving the equipment, the dean of the faculty, Professor John Akerele, thanked the students and urged them not to relent in developmental projects.
“It is very hard to find students committed to development such as this, I wish all other student leaders would toe this line as this will surely help the pharmacy profession,” he said.
