The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has inducted Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; Deputy Speaker of the House of the Representatives, Benjamin Kalu; Cross River state governor, Bassey Out; former Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu; and others into the University Hall of Fame.
The University which did this in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of its establishment, also on Thursday evening honoured them awarded with the Grand Ambassadors and Legacy Face of the institution.
In a statement, Edu thanked the University’s management for finding her worthy of the recognition.
The statement reads: “It was indeed a home coming in Calabar yesterday as the Great University Of Calabar on the Occasion Of its 50th Anniversary and Golden Jubilee honoured me along side, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio GCON, House Of Representatives Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu CON, Governor Of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, and Other Top Nigerians were also Honoured as the Grand Ambassadors and Legacy Face Of the Institution.
