UNICEF lauds Access Bank, Fifth Chukka on Charity Shield polo

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has commended Access Bank and Fifth Chukka Polo & Country Club for their commitment in championing the Charity Shield polo tournament drive to improve access to quality education by the poor and vulnerable children in Kaduna State.

UNICEF Chief of Field Office, Kaduna, Gerida Birukila stated this in Kaduna during the finals of the opening week of the annual event at Fifth Chukker Country Polo Club, was designed to raise funds to increase access to education by these out-of-school children in Kaduna State.

“The initiative is in line with UNICEF’s mandate of advocating for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potentials,” she added.

“I want to take this opportunity to encourage other partners to come together, put the sources together and ensure that every child in this community has access to educational facilities that will provide quality education.”

She pointed out that the initiative is in line with UNICEF’s mandate of advocating for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
