The incident caused a gridlock as people gathered at the scene of the accident to catch a glimpse of the body of the student for possible identification.
The incident happened on the Uhumudumun Road in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area.
An eyewitness who did not want his name mentioned said a commercial motorcyclist (Okada rider) carrying the student attempted to overtake another and they collided.
The student was said to have fallen from the motorcycle as a result of the collision and crushed to death by the oncoming truck.
However, the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) at the Iruekpen Division were on the ground to ease traffic and took the body of the student to a nearby mortuary.
