The University of Jos is to host this year’s annual conference of the Vice Chancellors of all Nigerian universities.This was revealed by the university’s Vice Chancellor,Professor Hayward Babale Mafuyai during a courtesy call by the Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust Limited,Malam Mannir A. Dan-Ali to him.
The conference to be held between May 29th to June 2nd will discuss different issues affecting Nigerian universities. It will have in attendance Vice Chancellors of all Federal,state and privately owned universities.
Guest speakers lined up for the event include the African Development Bank President, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, the Executive Vice Chairman of the National Communications Commission,Professor Umar Danbatta and a specialist from the University of Witswatersrand in South Africa.The theme of the conference is Quality Assurance and Global Competitiveness;A challenge for Nigerian universities.
