This quote aptly describes the steps taken by four students of the Mass Communication Department at the University of Ilorin when they organised a health campaign titled ‘Good hygiene, Healthy nation’.
 The four final year students are Akerele Oluwakemi, Madu Edith, Motojehi Blessing and Mustapha Tracy. The health campaign was seen as a social responsibility function aimed at educating and sensitising people in their respective communities.
The programme which was organised under the umbrella of a hypothetical public relations firm, Foremost Consultants, has not only helped in community development but also encourages individuals to adopt personal hygiene culture.
To make the campaign effective, the students engaged on a one-day cleaning exercise in Bubu community around the university environment. The exercise commenced at 7am and lasted for about three hours after which the team engaged in sensitising the community on simple hygiene and how to maintain the exercise on weekly basis.
The community head, Alhaji Aliu Umar, expressed gratitude to Foremost Consultants team while promising that people in the community will do everything possible to improve on their sanitation culture.
The Chief Executive Officer, Madu Edith, advised people in the community to inculcate the attitude of cleaning and ensure the proper disposal of their waste, adding that people need not be forced before they clean their environment.
