A communiqué signed by the association’s president, Comrade Muhammad Yunusa and General Secretary Comrade Chile Ekeke said the group has discovered moves by  some highly placed people to take over the authority.
The union, which said it appreciates the approval for the payment of seven months’ outstanding salary of NITEL/MTEL staff, said “No to privatisation of Federal Housing Authority.”
It urged government to expedite action on the payment of severance package and allowances of NITEL/MTEL staff.
SSACTAC “thanked the federal government for the ongoing huge investments in railway infrastructure” whilst pointing out that transformation in the sector can only be complete when it endorses an upward review of salary structure for staff of the Nigerian Railway Corporation to retain and attract high quality personnel.
