About 12,000 motorcycles and 250,000 bags of rice have been given out as loans to interested members of The Nigeria Legion across the 19 northern states.
Speaking at flagging up of the scheme, the National chairman of the legion, Col Micah Gaiya (rtd )represented by retired Capt. Shehu Ibrahim said this was part of efforts towards assisting members with mobility.
He said the loan repayment period has been extended to 18 months to give relief to beneficiaries adding that more efforts are being made towards empowering members.
‘ We have also in stock about 250,000 bags of rice ready for disbursement to members with a monthly deduction of 600 naira’ he said
While calling on members to always support the union , Gaiya assured of the union’s readiness to continue to strive hard to ensure the upliftment of their members.
