A governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has urged contestants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries in the state to remain united and support the party’s candidates ahead of future elections.

He made the call in a statement after the conduct of the primaries held across the state on Saturday.

Alli described the exercise as transparent, orderly and well-coordinated, saying it reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy, fairness and unity.

He commended members of the primary election committee for what he described as their professionalism, dedication and impartiality, noting that their efforts ensured a credible process across the affected federal constituencies.

The senator also praised party members across the state’s 351 wards for displaying maturity, discipline and cooperation throughout the exercise.

He said the peaceful conduct of party faithful and stakeholders demonstrated the collective determination of APC members to reposition the party for future electoral victories and reclaim power in Oyo State.

Alli added that the atmosphere of peace and sportsmanship witnessed during the primaries should encourage aspirants and supporters to continue embracing dialogue, mutual respect and party unity.

He stressed that the APC remained one united family committed to progress and good governance.
