United Capital Plc hires CEO

An investment banking group, United Capital Plc, has engaged Peter Ashade as its new group chief executive officer.

He succeeded Oluwatoyin Sanni, who will retire as Group CEO from the company effective June 30, 2018.

A statement by the company said Ashade would resume as Group CEO from July 1, 2018.

He was the chief executive officer of Africa Prudential Plc before his appointment.

The statement added that Ashade was an astute investment banker with over three decades cognate experience in Nigeria’s capital market.

The firm noted that his leadership style was allied to the delivery of superior shareholder value, service excellence and consistent market leadership.

The firm said: “He brings a diverse, innovative perspective and leadership capabilities that further strengthen United Capital Plc’s capital market leadership in Africa.”
