A gunman has opened fire at a primary school in San Bernardino, California, local police have confirmed.
San Bernardino police said they believe it to be a “murder suicide” and that the incident took place inside a classroom. Maria Garcia of the San Bernardino police said the threat has been contained.
A local television reported that four people including the gunman, one teacher, two students are among the injured or dead.
Approximately 500 students from North Park Elementary School have been evacuated.
