Unknown gunmen have killed 3 policemen and 2 Vigilante at Bujum Kasuwan in Lau local government area of Taraba state,Friday.

Daily Trust gathered that the  policemen and the vigilantes were on investigation duty in the area when the gunmen attacked and killed them.

It was gathered that the the team were led by the Divisional crime officer named ASP Kilobas Iliya to the area which experienced communal conflicts in recent time.

The gunmen after killing the policemen and the vigilantes made away  with  Ak47 rifle and one service pistol belonging to the police.

The police public relation officer Taraba state police command, ASP David Misal confirmed the incident.

He said the state police commissioner,David Akinremi has ordered immediate  investigation into the matter.

“The Deputy police commissioner is leading  a team of police to the area for investigation” APS Misal said
