The worst case is that of Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, who is apparently tired of ruling after being on the ‘throne’ for eight years. Also, his anointed gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Jibrin Isa Echocho, has become a kind of sensation in Kogi State, as the youths are impatient to have him at the helm of affairs. The Court of Appeal’s judgment, therefore, is not in congruence with the expectations of the people.
It is necessary for INEC and other interested parties to appeal that judgment to the Supreme Court so that the unpopular ruling can be reversed.
