UPDATE: Adamawa Speaker to be sworn-in, as Assembly impeach Nyako

The Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri may be sworn-in today following the impeachment of Murtala Nyako and the resignation of his deputy, James Ngilari.

Eighteen out of 25 members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly has impeached the embattled governor, Murtala Nyako.

The lawmakers passed the impeachment resolution today after considering the reports of the seven-man panel setup about a week ago.

Earlier, Nyako’s deputy, James Ngilari had resigned as the lawmakers began deliberation at their sitting today.
