Republic of Venezuela also want the US to accept responsibility towards Venezuelan people and the world for allowing its institutions and individuals to finance, legitimate and encourage actions to attack the country.
The Charge d’ Affaires Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Nigeria, Ambassador Miguelangel Della Vecchia made this known recently at a press conference in Abuja.
He said most international media gave coverage to members of and chieftain of the opposition with the purpose of destabilising the internal policy of Venezuela and creating conflict in his country as well as presenting a distorted vision of the reality to the international media.
Also reading a communiqué issued from his country, Vecchia said “Obama’s administration lies when it questions the validity of human rights and democratic guarantees in our country.”
He added that institutions in Venezuela are formed in a state of law and justice which guarantee the enjoyment of political rights to all its citizens in a framework of large and constitutionally enshrined civic freedoms.
The envoy also said that his country acted and will continue to do so against violent actions by small groups of right-wing extremists who dangerously conspire against democratic freedoms risking the lives of other citizens.
