US-based Non-governmental organisation, Intergenerational Rescue Foundation (IRF), has said the launch of AGROWEEN in Nigeria, would encourage the youths to develop a keen interest in Agriculture as a way of enhancing food production and boosting the economy.

AGROWEEN is aimed to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG), end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable Agricultural practices.

The NGO in a statement said AGROWEEN is strategically-positioned as a social education hub, with prospective chapters in interested and eligible educational institutions.

“Food security and sustainability have been a major issue all over the world, hence the importance of Agriculture to mankind,” it said.

It added that AGROWEEN’s official launch is in preparation for the Agroween Agric Festival in 2024.
