Cole’s book is a graphic account of life in Nigeria’s frenetic former capital and commercial hub, Lagos. It is the story of a Nigerian in Diaspora who visits home after a long absence. The charms, bustles and tragedies of Lagos fascinate him so much he was not sure whether to go back or stay.

The reading will also feature a book signings by the author at an event slated to hold at Pen and Pages, White House, Wuse II, by 6pm. There will also be another reading and book signing in Lagos on Saturday, December 14.

Despite living in the US for about seventeen years, Teju Cole, told Sunday Trust in an exclusive interview that he still finds the uncertainties of life in Lagos fascinating, which was one of the reasons he wrote the book.
