Speaking at a one-day sensitisation forum on governance of primary education for community stakeholders in Abuja, a representative of the group, Chioma Osuji, said community participation in education matters was essential.
Osuji said judicious use of education budgets will boost education delivery in the country, adding that education takes place not only in schools but also within families, communities and society.
Schools should not be operated as a separate entity, she advised.
She said community members can improve education by identifying factors contributing to education problem in their area and actively getting involved in decision making process in schools.
