‘Use cultural heritage to encourage unity’

The FCT minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has called on all socio-cultural organizations in the Federal Capital Territory to showcase culture for unity. 

The minister made the call at the weekend while receiving a delegation from the Bwatiye Community Development Association, led by its president, Mr. Mohammed Mahassei in Abuja.    

Malam Bello also urged all the leaders of cultural organizations in the territory to exploit and display their various cultures and tradition that encourage hard work and patriotism to strengthen the unique position of Abuja as a true centre of unity. 

“Abuja as you all know is our city of unity and is a city that we are all very proud of. I implore you to continue to give your very best for the city and try to bring to the city a very rich cultural heritage of the Bwatiye nation, which we are all very fully aware and very proud of,” he said.

 While thanking members of the delegation for their kind words of encouragement, he remarked that his administration was open to suggestions and advice from any quarter at all times that will assist in taking Abuja to enviable heights.
