Alero Omole, an aesthetician, has urged Nigerians to always make use of Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C, and ceramide-rich products for healthy glowing skin.
Omole spoke on Saturday in Abuja at the launch of Berceker skincare.
She said arbutin works by blocking the enzyme that triggers melanin production — which is what causes hyperpigmentation.
According to her, vitamin C is a must-have for a skin that wants to look fresh, even, and youthful.
She said without enough ceramides, one’s skin could become dry, itchy, and prone to irritation, noting: “With ceramide-rich products like Berceker, your skin becomes stronger, calmer, and more resilient.”
“The Berceker line is impressive because it brings all three together — especially through its use of Alpha Arbutin, Vitamin C, and Ceramide NP,” she said.
Rabia Usoro, CEO of Hareem Istanbul, a fragrance company with over 80 branches in four countries, spoke on what prompted the Berceker skincare.
She said: “We started working on Berceker three years ago. At first, we thought it would be simple — create something good, put it on the shelves, and move on. But very early on, we realized something: the world already has “good.” The market is full of products that are just good enough.
“We didn’t want good enough.
“We wanted something that feels like nothing else. Something that doesn’t just sit on your skin, but becomes a part of it. Skin that feels alive, strong, radiant — like the legend of the Berserker warriors who went into battle without armor.
“Two years into development, the team thought we were done. They thought the product was ready. But there’s one person you can’t fool — and that’s Mr. Zafer, the founder of Hareem Istanbul, and the mastermind behind Berceker.
“When they presented it to him, he said no.
“He didn’t feel what he was looking for. He didn’t see the legend in that product. So he made a bold — and honestly heartbreaking — decision. He told the team to destroy everything they’d done and start over.
“Two whole years of work — gone.
“And yes, it was painful. But that is what makes Berceker different. Every ingredient, every detail, every feeling was rethought and rebuilt.
“Today, we stand here with the result of that courage. Personally, I can’t use anything else anymore — nothing feels the same after Berceker.”
Dr Obianuju Ugwuoke, CEO of Tulip Bodycare, said: “What is unique about the product is that the ingredients are very well displayed, you know exactly what you are going for. Most of the ingredients help with repair of the skin and helps the skin to be healthy; most of the ingredients were sourced from Korea and produced in Turkey.”
