Chief Justice Uwais said the only solution to all the challenges currently facing the country is “to have the right leadership that will give us good governance.” He said, “The quality of our leadership leaves much to be desired. So, we should pray to Almighty God to help us with the type of leaders that will govern us well.” He also implored all Nigerians to vote rightly in the forthcoming general elections. According to him, voting rightly means to consider the programmes of all the contestants in order to decide the one that could offer good governance.
He said, “As regards the forthcoming elections, we all know and we understand that we owe it to ourselves the responsibility to vote and vote the right way. What I mean by voting the right way is that, consider the candidates, consider the programmes they have and decide on the basis of which one of them can give us good governance.”
