Extractive Advisor (South Sudan)
Organisational background
Cordaid has been active in South Sudan for more than 20 years, with a strong focus on civil society capacity-building and currently has programmes in the areas of health, disaster response, entrepreneurship, investments, food security, women’s leadership, security and justice, and extractives. Cordaid’s extractive programme supports local communities and civil society to become informed, legitimate and capacitated partners in negotiations with international oil, gas and mining companies and governments.
Responsibilities and tasks
Candidate will be responsible for the strategy development and technical advice on community development and stakeholders; programme design, management and support; capacity strengthening and networking, representation and business development. You will be part of a professional and dedicated small team that works to make a difference.
Contract information
Initial contract for 12 months, renewable with a 2-month probation period, a competitive salary and a benefit package which includes comprehensive insurance cover, social security, pension contribution and an R&R arrangement.
Starting date November 2013

Job descriptions: Liaise with media house, government and para government agencies, internal bulletins and good communications with employees.
