It was the first outing for Vagurban, an upcoming entertainment organization. The event was meant to give couples from all walks of life a feel of what the day was set aside for. The aim of the occasion according to one of the organizations director, Anthony Oghieakhe was for people to get to meet other people from other aspects of life in a relaxed mood.

The poolside at Summerset Hotel, Abuja was beautifully decorated to express the sentiments of the day and there were lots of side attractions including games and raffle draws to cheer up the couples.

MTN, organisers of the raffle, was present at the show to express to felicitate with the public in the season of love and enrich lives, the company’ Data Sales Consultant, Victoria Adaji said. She added that the company is committed to putting a smile on peoples’ faces.

Couples who spoke to Sunday Trust said they were impressed with the effort put in by the event organisers.

Mr. and Mrs. Oluwasomidotun and Bukola Adegbite said, “I never knew it was going to be filled with fun this way. I have no regrets coming for the show.”

Integrity and the Grace of God are the keys the organization should work with if the have to maintain success, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Nwaokolo advised. As the managing director, Wealth Homes, one of the sponsors of the event, he commended the efforts and dreams of the organizers.

But is valentine day meant for couples alone?

Mr. and Mrs. Adegbite agreed that it was a day set aside to express love but he stressed that love should also be expressed to the under privileged who do not have the opportunity of being loved.

The love God shared to the world by sending His son was another point mentioned by Mr. and Mrs. Nwaokolo while trying to describe the type of love people should show to one another.  The couples stressed that the love shared to the less privileged reaffirms the love one has for God.

Vagurban  said the event will now be held annually.
