Detectives from the Onikan Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 28-year-old man, Yakubu Yusuf, for allegedly vandalising hand rails on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
The command’s spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “On September 16, 2024, at 6.42am, the DPO in charge of Onikan received information that hoodlums were vandalising railings on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
“The DPO led a team of anti-crime patrol men to the scene where one suspect, Yakubu Yusuf (28), was arrested.
“About 21 bars of aluminium railings already vandalised from the bridge were recovered from the suspect.

“Other members of his gang took to their heels on sighting the patrol team. Policemen from the division are currently on the trail of the fleeing suspects.”
